I-701
IRONS
Though the
Srixon I-701
Irons look like
a traditional
forged cavity
back iron on the
outside, pop the
hood and you’ll
see that the
technology is
anything but
ordinary. The
secret lies in
the pocket
cavity
structure, which
effectively
lowers and
deepens the
I-701’s center
of gravity. This
delivers an
extremely stable
clubhead through
impact and makes
it easier to get
the ball
airborne for
high, straight
iron shots.
The I-701’s
clubhead is also
unique in that
it is a 2-Piece
design with a
forged 1025
carbon steel
body and an
extremely soft
forged 1020
carbon steel
face. The
softer, thinner
clubface allows
for a very
large, high COR
area making the
I-701 extremely
long, even on
off-center hits.
While that may
sound like a lot
of science, one
look at the
I-701 and you’ll
know that
aesthetics and
playability were
equally as
important to the
designers. With
its clean set
up, progressive
offset and
traditional
profile, this is
a club that will
appeal to the
mid to low
handicap golfer
alike. |

I-701
TOUR IRONS
Designed with
the input of the
world’s best –
such as Jim
Furyk, Robert
Allenby, Tim
Clark and John
Rollins, the new
I-701 Tour
Irons* are the
complete club
for the better
player. The
I-701 Tour
features a
unique Face
Press Milling
treatment, which
allows for
maximum
workability to
the target.
The I-701 Tour
has a thinner
topline than the
I-701 and
minimal offset,
which is a
profile
preferred by the
better player.
The soft 1025
forged carbon
steel clubhead
provides great
feel and
tremendous
feedback. The
shallow cavity
design provides
a measure of
forgiveness not
usually
associated with
a compact blade
with this level
of playability.
The sole has
been designed
with cuts in the
toe and heel to
reduce the turf
profile and
allow the club
to pass through
almost any lie
with ease. When
you play with
the I-701 Tour,
you’re in
complete
control. |
